The Project

Anderson provided professional design services for preparing a Master Plan and Phase I construction documents for a new 15 – acre rural initiative National Cemetery in Elko, Nevada. This national shrine has been master planned to provide over 9,300 gravesites for the next 200 plus years.

Phase I is currently under construction and will deliver 577 casket and cremation gravesites, 470 columbarium niches and 75 memorial wall markers. Phase I amenities include a 1,150 square foot restroom and storage building with an electronic gravesite locator, a 780 square foot fully enclosed glass committal service shelter with automatic doors, flag assembly area, memorial walk, entrance feature with automatic gates, roadways, fully automated irrigation system and associated infrastructure.
