The Project
ANDERSON was tasked with developing a Master Plan to present a comprehensive, long-range development plan for Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. This design effort expanded the existing national cemetery to the northern 200 acres. ANDERSON provided a wholistic planning approach which included:
- Sustainable Stormwater Management
- Topographic Land Survey
- NEPA Study
- Pedestrian and Vehicular Circulation
- Wayfinding
- Architectural Theming
- Landscape Architecture Planning
What We Delivered
Through multiple concepts Anderson, with input from local cemetery staff and Department of Veteran’s Affairs personnel, developed a final master plan which includes six phases, extending the cemetery operations another 60 years.
